Should i let it go......?

Question

when i was 13 my virginity got taken from me by rape

a so called friend of mine at the time set it up with her boyfriend. he let his 22 year old brother do it.

Now im 18...19 in november and i cant seem to let it go.

I saw her last year for the first time since the incident and i beat her up, i told her everytime i see her im gonna do it.

i saw her again a few months ago, did the same thing. i find it very hard to forgive her. should i stop beating her up?

yes you need to stop...

your not accomplishing anything by it

you should have reported it when it happend and its not too late now

but it would be hard to prove it

and you also should go to counseling

and talk to someone about it... it will release your anger

and they could help you take steps of getting through it

my friend was actually recently raped...

If you keep doing this you are going to end up dead or in jail; these people have taken enough from you. Your future belongs to you now so take it, get some counselling.Move on and get the happiness you deserve. Good Luck.

Despite what she did ( and in my eyes she deserves everything she gets, and more) what you are doing is technically classed as assault.

Unfortunately ( and this is the REAL sh*tty part) she could have you arrested, charged, and seek compensation for her injuries, ( if any) and time lost off work.

By these attacks, unfortunately you are lowering yourself to her level, which you are better than, ( I hope).

Although you can never forgive her, you can tell people what she has done, and hopefully prevent it happening to someone else.

I think you should try and put it behind you. You should maybe see a councillor they would be able to help you deal with it. I don't think you beating her up all the time will make any difference you can't change the past, so just be the bigger person and ignore her.

I think you need to have some counselling.  Has she said she's sorry for what she has done?? If not, then i would be tempted never to forgive her either, but the problem with that is..

a. You cant keep beating her up, one of those times you might get sent to prison and is it really worth it??

b.  You will never get over it yourself if you let it control you like it is doing.

Maybe you should go and talk to someone about it and see what they come up with.

you were all too young to understand everything properly, its very nasty what she did, but i think that beating her up everytime you see her isn't good either, maybe some councelling would help? or if you have a family member or really good friend to talk to, i think that would help.

Well this sounds very traumatic...

Personally I don't think beating her up is going to solve anything, obviously it was a horrible thing that your ''friend'' did but I think the best idea is to talk to a therapist about it because it's going to keep  eating away at you. When that happened you should of gone to the police, because rape is very serious.

i know its so hard to move on from something that was so traumatic. i was assulted as you were (i cant say the word coz it makes me feel sick)  and i know how it eats away at you for years and years. for the sake of yourself you need to try and let go honey . if your not carefull you could end up in trouble for beating up this girl.
