Should i let my 14 year old daughter drink tequila's with her friends for her bday?

It's shocking that you could even ask such a question. Be a better role model for your daughter than your parents were for you. If you do this, I hope someone turns you into the law and has you arrested.

At your age it wasn't illegal. (I think) Even my father drank as a kid. Today it is illegal to give a minor alcohol. If she drinks too much alcohol it can lead to death.

Well, your own daughter is your business, but I'm not sure how the parents of the other kids would feel if they knew you were letting them drink liquor.  I'd be mad as h*ll if you gave my 14 yr old tequila and when I found out, I'd probably come lookin' for ya...

I know kids are kids and they do those things, but don't be the contributor...Other than that, I hope she has a great birthday!!

Absolutely not! she'll get used to the idea of drinking and then it will develop into more serious problems. Then she'll think it's okay to drink at such an early age.

I personally would'nt but you know 14 yr olds they will probably do it anyway. I remember back when I was 14 and at a friends birthday party we kind of got really drunk on trying to be men and adding vodka to our coca cola. If you don't allow it they will find a way of doing it anyway.

a 14 year old should not drink tequila (or any alcohol), and if a parent has to ask if that's OK on Yahoo Answers they obviously should not even be a parent.

I'm not sure if you're simply too young or just ignorant, but you CHOSE to be a parent, so please step up and DO THE JOB!

If your daughter's friend is having a party where tequila is being served (assuming her friend is a comparable age), I would:

1. not let my daughter go

2. make sure her parents know that liquor is planned to be served there

3. If the parents do know (and I would be appalled either way), call Child Protective Services and let them know.

Being a parent is not about looking cool to your child, it's about:

1. protecting them

2. teaching them

3. inspiring them

4. setting boundaries

5. having consequences for violating those boundaries.

That doesn't mean your child can't look up to you or has to think of you as a dud, but it does mean doing the RIGHT thing, which are not always the fun or popular decisions.

Just because your parents did stupid things doesn't mean it's OK for you to do them also.  THINK.

Okay, if you dont want to feel like the mom that is a party pooper. Than do this...

Serve her maybe 1 drink with a little bit of alcohol in it.

Keep her under your supervision.

That's what my wife and I did when our son was 14 and wanted to have a few friends come over and have a good time.

Just keep everybody and EVERYTHING undercontrol.

Keep an eye on them too..Who know's they might have other alcohol than you dont know about.

So make sure you tell them that if your going to feed them a drink of some low context alcohol that that is all they are going to have..

Might want to see if there all spending the night aswell..

Dont want the neighbor kids going home smelling like booze
