He really wants to see it, he loves Batman. I saw the film myself and i loved it, but i don't know if my son should see it, it is pretty dark.

  1. I would not recommend it.  I know it's tough to say no to a 5 year old with a superhero obsession (I was one myself a long time ago) but the movie is simply too dark and pessimistic for a 5 year old.

Instead, see if you can pacify him by picking up some of the new animated batman series, or even the old 1990's "Batman: The Animated Series."  Those are designed with kids his age in mind, and the original "B:TAS" was a great cartoon for all ages, not too dark, but not campy either.

  2. No there are slashy scenes which i mean has things to do with knifes =]

    "Why so Serious" "Shing" HAHAHAHHAHAHA

  3. I think that some material in the movie especially the joker's image in the movie may be frightening to a small child and may give him nightmares.

  4. You're a bad parent.

  5. id say a 10 year old could see it at least

but he wouldnt understand the plot at all

  6. from what i've heard, no.  it tends to get quite violent and is intended for adults.  he should not see this until he's at least 13.
