i have 2 horses, skylar,he is lazy but my best friend.the other horse eureka is fast when you want her to be but well behaved but shes not that friendly(shes not mean or anything though) anyway i use to show eureka at the fair but i wasnt experienced at all and she was a little to much for me to handle,so i bought skylar. since my friend liked eureka i told her she could show her at the fair since she doesnt have a horse, but now ive gotten more experience and i really want to do barrel riding and so im considering show eureka and skylar so i can do barrels with eureka and walk trot classes with skylar.i feel kinda bad though about telling her she wont be able to show eureka if i do but my friend has done this kinda thing to me a lot, im always doing favors for her but yet whenever i need a friend to hangout with she has somthing else to do,shes always busy and never has time to hangout with me and breaks important plans like telling me she cant come to a concert after i already bought the tickets.and she will barely be at the fair anyway cuz she has band everyday for 6 hours!,so i think it might make more sense for me to show eureka considering she wont even be there most of fair,so ill probably have to take care of her anyway, so now idk what to do,cuz i want to show both my horses but i already told her she could, but on the other hand she does this kinda stuff to me all the time

  1. These horses belong to you. If you want to show your horses, you certainly have the right. Just apologize to your friend, otherwise you may lose one. Maybe you should tell her to look into leasing her own horse.

  2. It is YOUR horse...not hers. I would be sceptical IF she did favors for you and was a GREAT friend, but after reading that she isn't to "nice" persay I say FORGET HER!!! Show YOUR horses at the fair and HAVE FUN DOING IT :DDD

If she is mad...OH WELL...just remind her about the time she dumped you for the concert, and everything else. I know I wouldn't be handing out favors to people who don't even bother to TRY and do anything else.

    Just have fun ^^

  3. i would show them both and then just maybe let your friend ride in one to two classes or come with you and watch...

  4. I know at horse shows here you have to have a lease agreement to show someone elses horse. You had to have them leased for at lest 30 days prior to the show. It might be like that in your area and that would get you out of it.

  5. Simply tell her that you would like to show both of your horses.

Tell her she can come cheer you on and ride afterward at your house.

You could also let her enter a local fun show on your horse if she wants to show badly.

i had to go through this same thing when i got my new horse cody.

    hope it helped

  6. If she doesn't understand, then she is not much of a friend. Get rid of her, she is dead weight and holding you back. You sound like a top chick that would do anything for her mates. Stop calling her and see if she calls you. I'd bet she wont call.!

  7. You should defintely tell her that you would like the show both of your horses at the fair. I wouldn't blame at all. If she gets mad at you, remind her of all the times she as let you down..

But anyways, what fair are you going to?

I'm going to a fair too!! LOL =]

    I might barrel race..

    my email is tewa253@yahoo.com

    email me! =]

  8. Just tell it like it is...say "I know i said you could ride my horse at the fair, but i've changed my mind and i want to show both my horses."

Just leave it at that and don't worry about whether or not she's happy. She obviously isnt a good friend to you so why do her any favors.

  9. tell her that your mom said that she can not show your horse or just explain to her that it will be too hard since she has band

  10. They're your horses, you should be able to choose. Just tell her that you've seen a class ideal for you to go with each of them and you really want to, since they're your horses. The fact she was barely going to be at the fair means you would have to take both horses there, get them both groomed, tacked up, and warmed up, then all she'd do would be to ride your horse, then leave, making you do all the work after too, which is not fair.

6 hours a day means she won't be able to put in the effort required. Think about it, if you had broken your leg or something, and couldn't ride at the fair, but you wanted her to take one of your horses in the fair, she wouldn't be able to, because she'd need someone to get the horse ready for you.

So no, you shouldn't let her ride, they're your horses, and this will be a great opportunity for you to show off both of YOUR horses.

If you really are worried about your friend, ask if she would maybe like to go in a smaller class with one of your horses, but not the ones you want to go in. That was you feel better, she gets to go to the fair and you still get to go on both your horses. To be honest though, she doesn't sound like she really deserves you to be so nice to her, so you must be one really nice person if you are so worried about her feeling bad if she can't ride.

Good luck with your friend, and at the fair. I'm sure you, and your two amazing sounding horses, will do great! :)

  11. well i think it would be better to show both of your horses and not let he show. but i don't think she has band for 6 hours. but it would also depend on what classes she would be doing. if she is going to be doing different class's than you. then you could lelt her show. but i think you should just show your horses and tell her she can't. and don't forget they are your horses not hers. but good luck in the show

  12. I say no you should not because it is your horse and you should do what YOU want to do you should be able to enter your own horse in the fair without feeling bad. Since she does it to you all the time she will get over it. You should ride your horse in the fair!!!!!!!!!!!
