OK i got my son an air soft gun and you will regret it. I tried to make him put it down but he just couldn't. He and his friends took turns using it and some time he came home crying. Don't do it trust me. If it is a young mind it is already most likley polluted from much

yes and no if he under i say 13 no not that mature but its based on u and your son if your son is like hyper i would say wait but if he is chill maybe but u can see how he is with it and see how he but its on u DO U TRUST HIM

Yes, depending on his age. I had a pellet gun when i was 8 yrs old, .22 at 10yrs.  Dont listen to all the other people who think "guns kill people", just be sure to give him some type of saftey lessons before you give it to him. and when you do give it to him. dont let him use it unless under your supervision, until you feel completely comfortable with his capabilities and experience.

Make sure you get him some eye protection too.  I go play airsoft with my son every weekend.

Air soft guns are relatively harmless, but they can sting, so if you do decide to get him an air soft gun get a low powered pistol and tell him to wear eye gear and long sleeves when he goes out with them because as long as the pellets dint hit skin they don't hurt bad at all, but if they do hit skin it does sting a bit, nothing to bad, but it does sting

If he is able to consistently demonstrate responsibility and is willing to wear some eye protection. Go over some basic ground rules with him, like No shooting animals or other peoples property. No playing with other people who arent using eye protection. Dont point your gun at anything or anyone that you dont want to shoot.

Have you thought about playing a game with him? Great way for you both to be sure.
