  1. sure they have penguins...in a zoo

why live in Antarctica, I guarrantee you will regret if you do move there

New Zealand is a very nice place, go for New Zealand

  2. You can't live in Antarctica

and yes there are penguisn in NZ little blue penguins and the yellow eyed penguin are endemic to NZ but you can't just go out and look for them in the wild they come in at dusk to go to their nests.

Oamaru and the Otago penisula both have colonies where you can pay to be taken on a tour to see them, but like the kiwi you'd be lucky to ever see them in the wild.

Quite rightly they are afraid of people

  3. Firstly, you can't just go and live in Antarctica.  Only people doing research 'live' there for short periods.  If seeing penguins is your big thing, Australia or New Zealand would be a good choice.  I live in Melbourne (around 4 million people) and we have a big colony of fairy penguins living in St. Kilda which is only a couple of miles from the centre of the city.  If you want to drive about 1and a half hours (to Phillip Island) there is a nightly 'penguin parade' where thousands of penguins return at dusk every night and walk up the beach to their burrows.  There is above ground walkways so that people can watch them without disturbing the penguins.  Kangaroo Island in South Australia is another example.

  4. You shouold make up your OWN mind, and not listen so much to what other people tell you!  Be strong!  (Which you will certainly need if you move to Antarctica...)  Both places have those cute little penguins.
