Should i lock my bag in a hostel in poland??

is it worth it?? I don't have any locks so I'd have to run out to get some. Do I really need them? It's not one of the biggest rooms, 4 people all female I think.

I'm living in Poland now, and the question isn't if you should lock your bags, this is an absolute yes, but, should you leave your bags unattended in a Polish hostel at all. With a hotel, it is not such a problem, but hostels are quite another story. People here can be apt to steal anything. I'm not saying the general population, but rather, there is a large number of very poor people here who would not think twice about taking something from your bag. In fact, there are quite a number of not so poor people here who would steal just because they can get something without paying. Beware.

Locking your bag makes ppl think there might be something worth stealing, so don't over do it.
