Im 16 and im currently on the max-ot weight training and cardio program, basically its 1-2 muscle workouts per a day, 4-6 reps per set, 9-11 sets per a muscle group and dont work the same muscle group with out 5-7 days of rest. well i am doing thier monday, wednesday, friday routine and i am doing HIIT cardio training on tuesday, thursday, and saturday. well im taking in a little over 2000 calories per a day and my weight in grams of protein(165) and about 300 carbs a day and 50-60 grams of fat per a day and i dont know if i should try to cut fewer calories by cutting my fats and carbs to lose sum fat i have or should i try to eat more calories by increasing some of my carbs and a little fats to try and gain muscle then cut the fat in 3 months or so. what do u guys think would be the best for me to do right now??? i just turned 16 im 5 "10in tall and weigh 165lbs and im at about 15-17% body fat. thanks alot.

  1. youre goal should be to do both ... at the same time

  2. if you have high body fat you need to do lower weight with allot of reps. this will turn most of the fat into muscle then when your pretty tone start raising the weight and lowering the reps.

keep eating the way you are that's exactly what you should be doing.

    good luck.

  3. Ok, Muscle burns fat...so if you build muscle you will be burning at the same time

    tips-----------------

you should also focus on your proper nutrients intake (example)

I suggest you take FISH OILS 1000 they sell at GNC or any drug store ;    Fish Oil provides dietary support for joint health along with DHA and EPA, these Omega-3 fatty acids help support the cardiovascular system.*

Each capsule contains 1000 mg of fish body oil.

I also suggest you take any source of FIBER ;   Fiber promotes intestinal health and regularity, increases bulk and provides relief from occasional constipation. Experts agree that adults should consume 25 to 35 grams of fiber every day to maintain good health and normal bowel function. Fiber is an all-natural way to promote regularity and colon health. It aids in the transit of food through the intestines and offers many additional health benefits including helping you to delay hunger and making you feel full longer.

    so....

    exercising

eating healthy (I suggest) the 1500 calorie per day diet

getting rid of all junk food

    buildin muscle

and taking the things I just mentioned above, will get you HEALTHY,LEAN,FASTER and most importantly make you feel BETTER

p.s. Ask your parents if it's ok to take the Fiber, and the fish oils 1000 before doing so even though taking it in its propper way won't kill you
