I have bad knees- In the right knee i have IPPS (Inner Patellar Pain Syndrome) and I had my left knee kicked backwards 3 years ago. I know that running is great for fat burning, boosting the ol' metabolism, etc. BUT- am i hurting myself in the long run by running? I run and bike 4 days a week..

  1. i would definetly not advise you to run... the person dad above may be able to run NOW but later in life they are just hurting themselves and possibly preparing themselves for surgery.... wait till you are completely healed and then when you do start... ICE ICE ICE your knees

  2. dont run! i gave myself knee problems at 18 from running. sign up to a health club with a pool and swim, its one of the best ways to work your muscles, some places only charge $35 a month and dont you think that its worth it to keep you knees healthy? my grandfather has bad knees and he was in so much pain that some days he couldnt even walk and simple bending down that we take for granted was impossible for him, i doubt you want to end up like that and have to have knee replacements in your later years so take care of yourself now!

  3. If you don't bend them to much your okay because my dads knees are much worse and he can run all he wants but when it comes to climing stars it is a no go and bike riding is okay if your seat is high enough

  4. ya
