Should i make my 2 hamsters have babys?

Well, i have 1 girl 1 boy. The boy wants to have babys but the girl dosent. All my friends want a hamster like mine so they think they should make mine have babys. my father agrees. he wants them to have babys.should i?

reason why to have babies:  all your friends could have hamsters, it would be nice to have more.

Reasons not to:   There are so many hamsters waiting to be adopted all over the world,  it wouldn't be fair to the mother,  She would be forced to have babies that's not right,   Also hamsters eat babies when they are born sometimes.

Its up to you and the mother hammie.

I believe this website is talking about syrian hamsters. I dont know what kind you have but im sure the gestation and how to care for them are pretty much all the same.

Yes, you should do it! Here's what to do:

The female comes into heat every four days for 12 hours. Every night for five nights in a row from 7:00-11:00 pm, put the male and female in neutral ground, like a cardboard box, then separate the two. If the mating is successful, she will give birth in about 16 days. The hamsters will be born blind, deaf, and naked, but by day 12 the will look like mini adults. DO NOT touch the babies (known as pups), or the mother will eat them. When they are 14 days old you can touch and hold the pups, and by the time they are 6 weeks old, they can go to new homes. you cant force them to have babies if u want to have baby hamsters for your friends i think that you should get a smaller cage so they will become closer and may decide to mate.

well if the girl dosent want babies if she does get prego when she has them she may eat them but you could alwatys try and she may not eat them !!!!! =) good luck but dont force them too much
