I was wondering whether or not to overclock my video card, I have a NVIDIA 8600 GeFore GT 256MB. What i do know for sure is that my computer is NOT equiped to handle the heat. BUT!, when my computer overheats i place small portable fan near the towers vent. It seems to work i am able to go all out without it overheating. But when i am given the option to overlock it says in a warning that the card could break down if used to harshly. That worries me should i do it?, the only reason i bought the card was to play games that require a better video card. Since i've had it i do notice that it does play the games ok but performance was pretty poor.

  1. Depends, is it under warranty?  If so, then no, as overclocking automatically voids any warranty.
