  1. Rarely are credit repair companies worth the time and money you will pay them to fix your credit report.  These companies can not just go in and change your credit score, if there are negative reportings on your bureau that are accurate, then there is nothing the company can do.  Only if something was reported incorrectly is there a chance that it can be corrected, but that is something that you can do yourself by calling the issuing credit card (or whoever) company.

The best thing to do is pay at least your minimum balances on time every month.  And stop spending if it is credit cards that are getting you into trouble.  Constant swiping racks those bills up, and before people know it they're skipping one payment to pay another.  That's one of the worst things they can do.  Every month try and pay AT LEAST the minimum on EVERY card.  And cut up the credit cards.  You can keep one for emergencies when travelling, but everything else needs to be gotten rid of.

  2. Yes. Some states are better than Others it depends on your states statutes and the fair credit reporting act. you can actually do it yourself for free. But it requires patience, and some knowledge.

The Gal in the office next to me added 100 points to her FICO when she did it.

  3. Сredit repair workеd fine for me. I used this service - http://freecreditreport.deep-ice.com - They disputed and removed lots of bad items from my credit report.

  4. To raise your credit score you need to do two things:

1 - add positive things to your credit records.  Such as paying your bills on time!

2 - Remove negative things from your records.  These may be mistakes made by the credit report companies or bills you haven’t paid!

If your problems aren’t too bad or too complicated than you can do this yourself.  This review site gives you e-books to explain the process and guide you through it:

if your problem is complex - or you just don’t have the time or patience to do it yourself then you will want to use a credit repair company.  This review site will guide you to the three best companies to use:

    Good Luck!

  5. no no no! they cannot "fix" anything, they can only give advice, and that would be basic advice, like "pay your bills". Only by paying your bills will you be able to improve your credit score/rating. Plain and simple and you don't need to pay someone to hear them say what most have said in here. Good luck!

  6. There's very little a credit consultant can do (legally) that you can't do yourself.

There are several things that ding your credit rating, and the cures are a little different in each case:

    1) High balances.  Pay them off.  Your score goes up as soon as they get the check.

    2) No credit.  No problem.  Live a debt-free lifestyle, and you'll be able to leave a few million bucks to your grandkids.

    3) Foreclosure, repo, bankruptcy.  The only cure is time.

    4) Bad debts.  Start stockpiling a bunch of cash, and go to each one in turn and offer to settle it.

    Anything I left out?

  7. If the items on your credit report are correct, then there is no "fix" to make it better.  If you pay bills on time, your credit will improve.

  8. Of course not.  You fix bad credit by ordering your free credit report and making sure all entries are accurate.  Dispute anything that is wrong.  Then contact the various creditors to negotiate settlements or payment plans.

Do what you say you will do.  Don't charge anything else until you clean up this mess.  Easy?  Of course not.  Can you do it?  You can if it is important to you.  And it should be....

  9. Think about it; if you owe $10,000 does it make more financial  to pay me $1,000 to teach you common sense, or to use your own common sense and put that $1,000 towards your debt? If you know the answer to that question, you are already at least as smart as any "credit consultant"!

Go to the library (free!) and read any book about getting out of debt/getting a great credit score by Dave Ramsey.  It's EASY....you just have to do it!

  10. I think you would be wasting your money.

Pay your bills on time and it will fix it self eventually
