i have mild to extremely (depending on the day) wavy hair and it takes me a good half an hour at least to blow dry and straighten it and it drives me insane and i absolutely haaaaaaate doing it. straight is just about the only way i ever wear my hair unless its like...a wedding. that is just about the only exception.

should i permanently straighten my hair or do you think no?

  1. I would consider this option only if:

*you will always want a straight hair style/look(you cannot curl or wave permanently straight hair....it will always be straight)

*you do not want to be a slave to hair appliances each and every day

*you can afford the maintenance of a permanent hair straightening (touch up the roots)

*it is a very expensive procedure at the salon

  2. yeah go for it =]

    try the japanese straightening

  3. Well like everything in the world its YOUR decision. I would not recommend it because like most things people do to their body, because you wanted it now doesn't mean 10-20 years your going to want it. Write on a piece of paper the pros and cons of doing it...

The good thing about wavy hair is that you HAVE options, when its straight you dont... Think about it!

  4. NO!!!!!! My old friend had curly hair, and she made the mistake of getting it permanetly straightened, and still 2 years later it looks HORRIBLE!! The bottom is puffy/straightish, and the top where its growing out is curly. It ruins your hair. I have wavy hair and I also thought about it, but be proud sometimes of the hair you have and just throuw in some gel and hairspray!! Its not worth damaging your hair just to look good for like the first month!!
