Question:

Should i plead guilty to going through a one-way street even if there wasnt a sign?

so.... theres this back street i take to work ...you can either veer right or go stright i usually go to the right then make my left. but after taking my boyfriend this way he told me i couldnt make a left from that way. so this day i went striaght made a right then a left a cop stopped me gave me the going through a one way ticket and i dont get why there isnt te sign the double lines are in the middle cars were coming the opposite way wtf?!?!?!?!?!? idk what to do or how to plead and my boyfriend says its not his fault but I DO this is in new jersey

  1. OK, you got flagged - if you have to go to court, it looks like you might have a case . Go back to the exact spot where you made the turn and photograph it - everywhere you can think of . If there is no sign saying No Right Turn or One Way with the arrow, that should get you off the hook . Document your evidence and you should be in good shape for convincing the judge.

  2. I would plead not guilty and go to court and explain myself.

    State that you never saw any signs - even though you drive that way all the time - say you are sorry and now you know blah blah blah - don't ever plead guilty. . . . ALWAYS plead NOT Guilty - Guilty doesn't leave ANY options - boom - you plead guilty and it's easy for them - plead not guilty make them do their jobs and see what the outcome is - at least you know you had tried if worse comes to worst.

    (I am in NY - but I know that I always get confused when I drive in NJ)

  3. Fight it because in all states signs must be posted and this is not just for the residents of the state but for visitors.......
