  1. I rinse them down the sink and as we use 'old fashioned' tea, tea leaves as well.  I was told years ago that this kept the drain smelling fresh.  Don't know if it is true, although my drain never smells.  Sometimes I put them in the waste disposal but more normally just wash them down the main sink.

  2. NO - ABSOLUTELY NOT!  My brother-in-law is a plumber.  Coffee grinds, eggs shells, hair, peelings from carrots/potatoes...all this stuff and many others will clog your drains.....DON'T DO IT!

  3. no. scatter them in your garden if you have one or throw them in the trash.

  4. dont EVER waste coffee, use ice

  5. spread them round the garden, it's good for the soil

  6. No.  Over time pipes begin to gunk up naturally with minerals, soap crud and food particles.  Coffee grounds are not coarse enough or go thru with enough force to scour out the pipes.  They should not go down the sink or the garbage disposer (in older homes...those over 15 years where pipes are starting to get disgusting.)  Either throw them away or compost them in the garden soil.

  7. Yes! It actually helps with keeping the drain cleaned out.And are very good for your sewer.

  8. no...either put in the trash or in the garden

  9. no i suggest you put them when cold in your compost bin or directly on to your  indoor/outdoor plants.

  10. NO! don't do it.  No egg shells either.  I was told that both of these would sharpen the disposal blades.  But that was horrible advise.  Huge clog the back flow consisted of coffee grounds and egg shells.

  11. no, I was told that by a Plumber years ago.

  12. I have heard this is good for helping to clear the drain.

  13. Throw them away.! The idea of putting them there in the first place was the idea that it would freshen the smell of the sink. It is terrible for disposals and will clog your pipes. A little lemon juice is a much better idea.

    Hope that helps you !

  14. no put them on your plants outside its great fertilizer!

  15. Nope. FLush em
