Question:

Should i put my two leopards geckos in a 20 gallon tank?

there is 1 male and 1 female but i dont want them 2 mate but i them to have more space any suggetions

  1. Keep them in seperate enclosures or they will mate.


  2. if you want them to mate a small 20 gallon tank is good but if you dont want them to mate get them a nice 30-40 gallon tank

  3. If you don't want them to breed, just put them in separate tanks.  Reptiles don't need companionship.

  5. I'd suggest getting them separate tanks.  As long as you keep them together, you will almost surely get eggs.  I'd suggest getting them each a 20 gallon tank, as a 10 gallon is really not big enough for an adult leopard gecko and 3 adult-sized hides.

    They are also not a social species and are better off being housed alone always.  It's much less stressful for the geckos.
