  1. Norton sucks! ClamXav is a free Mac Antivirus.

  2. In a word, no. A mac really doesn't need it. Unless, that is, you've partitioned your hard drive and are running a copy of windows alongside your Mac OS. Or, you're purposefully downloading b.s. codecs from porno sites in an attempt at free video s**t. In which case, yeah, but I'd personally go with Kaspersky over Norton. And remember, no antivirus program is going to save you from yourself.

  3. First, Norton products are terrible.  Second, you should be fine i wouldnt bother.  If you really want to get something i would recommend McAfee.

  4. Safe from what? There are no released MacOs X viruses. There are a couple malwares (fake p**n viewer, fake poker game, fake anti-virus). Just don't download and install anything from sites you don't know about.
