  1. You may be wasting your money theres plenty of detergents in todays fuel if you buy a respected brand like Shell or BP, there is a difference between them & some cheap petrol.

  2. its worth a try! but the best way is to take them apart and blow them through with an airline

  3. Yes,,it's a good product.

It's a very high concentration of Naptha,,which is about as good a fuel system cleaner as you can get.

No Gasoline has any more than a Maintenance level concentration.

    Certainly no "Curative" amount.

    ..............................

    Suggestions for using it:

Standard Dosage is about  1 oz per gallon(US measure)

UK ounces/gallons is close enough to same.

That's good for maintenance levels,,,regular use.

Which you really DONT need to use it on any ongoing, continual  basis.

Once every 4~5~6 tanks of fuel ,,or once every month or 2,,,will keep everything nice

    ......................

To try CURE a Problem related to c**p in carbs, jets ,etc.,,,,

I would wait until bike is down to about 1 gallon~4 Liters of fuel in the tank.,,or thereabouts.

Add about 4~6 ounces of Cleaner.

NOTE: That's a Very High Concentration,,,and engine will almost SURELY run BAD on such a high dosage.

That's HARMLESS,,,but it WILL scare You if not expecting it.

Realize you're employing the Cleaner more as a "TOOL",,,than a mere cleaner additive.

Let your Bike IDLE with Throttle Closed about 1 hour.

Mind the Temperature,,,it SHOULD be fine.

In the off chance it tries to run Hot,,,place any sort of "house/room" Fan in front of the radiator.

The Idling that long is an ODD thing to do,,and not normally recommended.

The REASON WHY to do it during this operation,,,

is because of how the Carbs function.

Normal Riding will Eventually clean the carbs.

But as soon as you open the throttle ANY much at all,,

The Low Speed Circuit get's "abandonded" and almost NO fuel flows thru.

    No Fuel Flow=NO Cleaning action.

Leaving Throttle Closed and engine Idling,,

a)Pulls a Very High Vaccum restricted to carb's Low Speed/Idle Circuit

b)Which Maximizes FUEL Flow VOLUME,,,and Velocity,,,thru that section of the Carb.

Which = a Huge increase in the amount of Cleaner and Cleaning Action Focused on that Critical Area.

Cruising around trying to "Ride It Clean" does almost NOTHING to Force it.

It only gets Clean sorta Coincidentally from extended Exposure dissolving the crud,,,then Next time Ya start it,,,or each time Ya Close the throttle back to Idle.

Idling Does "Force Clean it" as best as can be done without dissasembly and manual cleaning.

    Plus,,it compresses TIME.

You can get a WEEK or More worth of Cleaning effect accomplished in  45 minutes to an hour.

After Idling ,,,You must then avoid killing the spark plugs.

It Will Possibly be Loaded Up.

To go OFF Idle,,,,dont just simply "Rev it Up"

The sudden spike in Combustion Chamber Temp and Pressure will glaze the plugs.

*Slowly Open the Throttle,,,sort of Feeding it as engine takes the throttle.

If it stutters or stumbles as you increase throttle,,hold it there a few seconds till it clears.

*Run it up to about 5,000 revs or so,,,Hold it about 10 Seconds,,,then open it up "normally".

Fairly Quick as Revs go pretty High.

*then Gradually  reduce Throttle fairly slow.

You want to THROTTLE it Back Down,,,not simply snap throttle closed and let it Freefall back down.

None of that is CRITICALLY Tedious or Precise,

The Idea is you want Engine to follow Throttle UP and DOWN,,,,rather than Snap the gas Open and wait for engine to catch up,,,or vice versa on way Down.

Do that a couple times and it'll clear any dislodged combustion chamber deposits,,,carbon, etc without Re-Baking them back onto the Plugs.

Once done there,,,ADD a Gallon or 2 of Petrol to Dilute the High Concentration of Cleaner.

It's all a LOT easier to do than it is to tell.

    * You're using a Substantial OVERDOSE of Cleaner on a Small Tank Volume of Fuel---

so You can Well Dilute when done w/ additional petrol

*You're letting it Run an extended period on Closed Throttle  to Focus on an area of the Carb which Normal Riding /Cruising Effectively "BLOCKS".

*Normal Riding addresses all the OTHER areas,,,which Idling Doesnt.

    So it's a 2 Stage Approach,,,

with No Need to be concerned or DO anything but Ride Normally for "Phase 2"--the intermediate &high speed sections of the carb.

They'll get cleaned just "naturally"  via the Then-Diluted cleaner left in the petrol tank.

*And after "Stage 1" of extended idling,,

You want to raise Revs at a MODERATE Rate of Increase,,then a moderate rate of Deccel.

That simply gives it a chance to clear itself out before putting a load on it.

    .....................

Or,,,You can just pour the stuff in the tank at moderate dosage levels,,and ride It.

    It'll eventually clean itself up.

Or a Small "overdose",,then add more fuel to dilute it after running it a while

Realize that NONE of the above is any sort of Magical Secret gauranteed to Perform Miracles.

There's only So Much a Cleaner Additive can do.

For SOME Conditions,,,the Cleaners DO work "Like Magic",,,they actually Solve a lot of problems.

Yet for OTHER conditions,,,nothing short of a Disassembly and manual cleaning can fix those.

Odds are Very Good the Cleaner Additive Will Work if bike generally starts & runs,,,and has not been exhibiting poor symptoms for any extended

    period of time.

Going Forward,,,it's worthwhile to occasionally add a bit of cleaner.

Consider it "Cheap Insurance" to keep it all in good condition.

    Good Luck,,hope that helps

*** It's hard to say for certain,,,,but if you dont get satisfactory results within about a week of everyday driving,,,

Cleaner Additive is not likely to be the answer.

Even simply trying to "Drive it Clean" usually happens fairly quickly,,,and will typically show some degree of almost immediate improvement..

    It's seldom INSTANT,,often takes a few days.

Within  Couple Weeks,,,it will USUALLY have Done all it's capable of doing.

If it hasn't done the trick by then,,

You'll have to pursue a different approach.

    So,Just a guideline  of what to expect,,,timewise.
