  1. no one likes a quitter.  if you quit now you wont be playing again during high school.

  2. If you want to be a quitter, QUIT!

Personally, I don't think you should. It sounds like you're concerned that your friends are going to have fun without you. How long is volleyball season? Not long, I know. I played in High School. It's a GREAT sport and you shouldn't give it up. You must have some talent or you wouldn't be on the JV team. Just be tough and stick with the team. It will be more rewarding in the long run than you think.

You're only a Freshman. You have so many years of fun with your friends ahead of you. Plenty of football games to go to, as well.

    DON'T BE A QUITTER!!!

    GOOD LUCK!

  3. If you are even considering this, then you don't need to be on a high school sports team. Period. It takes a lot of commitment, and a lot of time, and sometimes you have to pass up on parties and socializing to go to practice and games.

  4. JUST QUIT, THAT'S THE ANSWER.  IF SOMETHING DOESN'T GO MY WAY, I'LL JUST QUIT.  COME ON, YOU'RE BETTER THAN THAT.  THE SEASON'S ALMOST OVER.  IF YOU INTEND TO PLAY NEXT YEAR, I WOULD SUGGEST YOU CHANGE YOUR ATTITUDE AND PORTRAY TO YOUR COACH THAT YOU WILL DO ANYTHING TO GET BETTER AND TO HELP THE TEAM.  HE/SHE WILL REMEMBER THAT.

  5. go to the v ball game

    v-ball rocks

    by the crimson hero manga

the book's about vball and it rocks ***

  6. follow your heart do what you think is right but being on the jv team is an honor but if you feel like you should be with your friends you probably need to be

  7. Alright, this is the perfect question for me to answer! I've been there, and it was even worse for me! I am also a Freshman on the JV team, and I have one best friend, and another close friend on the team... and the rest are the popular type that don't treat me very nicely. Our season just ended, after three and a half long months or drama! We had a girl recieve hate mail, we had three girls quit, we had fighting and screaming and crying on the bus after almost every game! It was not fun! But, lucky for me, I had the best Coach in the world, and she constantly reminded us what volleyball was about. I have zero confidence in myself, and I cannot tell you the number of times that I thought, "Is this worth it?" And I cannot tell you the number of times that I stayed after practice to talk to the coach about things, and ended up crying for half an hour, while she talked to me! After our last game last week, I felt like after all that had happened, I needed to thank her, and appologize to her for some of the things that had happened...I sat on the bench all the time, and I came to every single practice and worked my butt off! I had got to the point that they had stopped charging my dad and sister (my mom kept books and got in free) to get into my games because I was always on the bench!!

It was pretty sad for me..I had a really hard time...but, I stayed with it because I LOVE volleyball!! It's my life! The past three months were some of the worst, and some of the best times of my life, and I kept with it because even though it was going the way I wanted it to, I knew that my coach and my best friend were there for me, and I knew I wanted to play volleyball! My point is after this looong novel I've written you, is that if you truly love volleyball, you don't quit no matter how hard it is! If you take it seriously and you live to play the sport, quitting is not the right decision. You'd be letting your team, and yourself, down if you quit now. So, if you absolutely love it, stay with it. If it's something that you only do in your spare time, then volleyball isn't for you. I'm sorry for the long answer, but this just seemed like the perfect question for me to answer, and it feels good to try and help someone who is going through what I've just been through!

Good luck, and I hope that you make the right decision!!

  8. yes and no. if u feel like u need 2 be w/ ur friends, then guit. but you have a huge oppertunity 2 be on the jv team w/ everuone else.

  9. if you care about v-ball then you'll stay...

but if you really do feel that uncomportable then i think that you should try to get to know them better, then if that dosnt work quit.

it just dosnt make sence making you live miserable for a school sport.

  10. When you made the volleyball team, you accepted one of a limited number of available spots.  It is the coaches job then to assemble the teams Freshman, JV, and Varsity as they see fit both to win, and develop players.  You obviously have better than average skills to make JV.  Just because you have to sit, you can still learn the game, learn about hitters etc.  As I see it, if you made the team that is your commitment until the season is over.  Next season you can reassess your options and situation.  Go to your volleyball game.

  11. I  Know how that feels i was on vasity and my best friends and friends was on junior varsity. You got skills if you on junior varsity. You should just stay with the team they need you. You didnt waste your time of trying out for the team just stay and have a good attitude

  12. I happen to be the type of person who never quits. If i start something I am going to finish. This type of thing though is up to you. Don't quit juust because you have better things to do. If you really love volleyball, like i do, then you'll stick it out. I mean volleyball season is almost over anyway.

  13. Well..if you enjoy the sport, there's no reason for you to quit. It doesn't matter if your friends are on the frosh team. You can make new friends on the jv team ya? The pressure being put on you will make you a better player and if your coach took you outta the game, then you did something wrong or someone else needed to go in since everyone needs to play.

If volleyball's important to you, then you'd go to the volleyball game anc cheer your mates on. I've found that football can wait. Don't quit the team though! Unless you're absolutley gonna die if you don't get to be with the frosh team.

  14. First of all, your a freshman on an upper classmen team and you playing should be good enough for you. Just cause you dont play the whole time or you dont start, that doesnt mean that you should quit! Your time will come when you feel comfortable and you enjoy playing with your team but it all takes time! Hopefully you get there soon! But as for ditching your game and going to the football game, i wouldnt do it! You committed yourself to volleyball, now you should stick to your obligations!!!

  15. You sound like a real ball brain.  Next you'd be asking, "I'm  human and on this earth, but people treat me like I am part of the moon but I don't feel comfortable.  I want to be with the earthlings but the pressure is too great.  My psychiatrist tells me that life is not for everyone.  Today I want to die, should I listen to my therapist?"

  16. I had that same problem in baseball my freshman year.  I was an everyday starter getting plenty of playing time but just couldn't click with the Varsity team.  I had friends on both JV and the Freshman team but the way  looked at it was if I could stick it out 1 year alone I would get to the know the coach and some of the other guys better.  Plus, next year at least a few of my friends would be moving up the following year or maybe this year because of injury.  Needless to say I stuck it out won the State Championship and have no regrets.

  17. If u feel that their is too much pressyoure then u can quit but if u want to be with ur Friends then u choose

  18. No cause if you joined and just decided to quit what was the point of even playing in the first place???besides what does that show about your character ? so just suck it up and b determined and keep on playing

  19. It sounds like you have already decided to me. This isn't working for you. Go with your friends.
