Should i repaint my room?

Question

Tell me how you think my room is. I think my paint is to boring, how can i make it more interesting. Also, do you think i should repaint some of my furniture, they are currently wood schemed. Would different colors on different walls look nicer?

When answering, please keep in mind i am a 20 year old male, also, i WILL remove that border on top of my walls (lol)

If you mention a color, can you please give the exact color name rather than saying "dark bluish"

Also, beautiful sunsets are seen outside my window!

the room has a good plan because of the windows. so, why put something to block off the view?

You are correct about the dark colors. They really make a room appear smaller so play with lighter tones. I would suggest you paint the walls with neutral shades. Like cream and beige. These colors are very flexible and versatile. The wall where your bed is can be painted a darker shade. Like chocolate brown. It's up to you what shade you prefer.

The furniture pieces in wood shades would already do the look. Just make sure what your accent color will be. Like blue for instance-you can use this color in your bedspread and accessories.  

I don't know what the existing floor finish is, but you can put an area rug right under the bed to give your room a 'hotel suite' look.  Put your character in it so the room will really be yours!

Get some framed posters on the wall. The paint and furniture look fine. Maybe something for the windows and a new bedspread.
