Should i repaint the skirting of the lounge with emulsion white or undercoat white, the walls are magnolia?

i'm having wooden flooring done next week, don't know if it would look nice or should i paint it with the same magnolia color?

If it was me, I would paint it white as it will look cleaner.... but I would use gloss/egg shell not emulsion as it it harder wearinf and designed to be used on wood work

I would definately opt for white - it will break the magnolia color and make it pop.  It will give sharper, cleaner edges and a more sophisticated look.

I also would NOT use emulsion!!!  Use an eggshell or a semi-gloss.  The eggshell is a more durable finish and is washable although it does not have the same sheen as a gloss or semi, it does have a soft "glow" unlike the matte finish paints.
