Should i rest the day before i run the mile?

i have to run the mile in gym tommorrow and im not in the best shape but i have been working out and running around my neighborhood alot lately. is it smart for me to not run tonight if i have the mile tommorrow?

  1. The day before:

        *run around two miles SLOW, just to get your muscles warm and your heart rate up

        *stretch, but not too much

        *drink a lot of water

        *eat a filling dinner, i.e. pasta


  2. It helps keep up your endurance, so you're more used to it.

    I say do the mile that night.

  3. No, you should continue with your daily excercise routine, get a good night's rest tonite, and eat a filling breakfast.
