  1. Yes.

  2. Why are you taking the ACT so early? It's a high school level test.  That score is horrible.  I'm pretty sure the highest possible score is 36... that score isn't even half so its equivalent to a failing grade.

  3. You should retake the test b/c 17 is a bad score. You should at least get a 21 to get a scholarship.

  4. That's good! I got a 22 my first time. So ya. you're in good condition!

  5. yeah 17 is bad.

but your only going into 8th grade.... so idk why your worrying about it now.  there will be plenty of time to stress about this your junior year of high school

  6. yes

  7. a 17 is a bad score. the average is around a 24-ish area. and a really good score is in the 30s. the thing with the ACT is that it tests knowledge in the subjects. which is why people take it junior year (generally) because they know the material. the great thing about the ACT is that they send your top score, so if you retake it and do better, colleges will not see the 17. they also allow you to delete the score for a fee. however the SAT sends all your scores and doesn't allow you to delete the scores. wait until your junior year, when you learn more of the material, and you'll do better. good luck!

  8. yah. i told my son to do the same thing.
