  1. PASO is correct.  In the wild, both parents care for the babies.  The mother will keep them warm while the father feeds her/them, then they reverse and he will sit on the babies.  It is terribly important that you leave them together.  Parrots have a lifelong pair bond and will be miserable or become ill if you separate them.  He will NOT hurt the little ones!

  2. No....you should not separate the father african lovebird to the baby birds......

  3. birds live in pairs in the wild

both parents take part in raises the young

if he is being good to them I'd leave them together

  4. You might want to seperate them, just until the babies are a little older.

  5. You should Leave them together BUT if they star to fight SEPARATE THEM!

  6. id seperate them..

    to be safe..

    and it couldnt hurt..

just put them in a cage right next to the cage w/ the dad..

but if they have a mom..

    put them w/ the mom1

  7. He should be there as he will help feed the babies or feed the mom.  It is alot of working looking after the young and he will take turns helping out.

So unless they are fighting please leave him in there as he has an important job to do.
