  1. Sears. Better made tools, better guarantee.

  2. i like home depot the best but between these two i would say sears

  3. that depends on the tool that you need to buy.

sears has a wider range of tools but their prices are a little higher.

lowes does not sell everything but has good prices.

compare apples to apples and you will have your answer.

  4. For hand tools, it really don't matter if it's Sears, Lowe's, or The Home Depot.  Most of them are offering a lifetime guarantee on the tools, as long as they aren't being used commercially.  So on that basis, I would shop the store that gives you the best value.  Also, what a lot of people don't realize about these stores is that the name brand they use means nothing really.  Most of the Craftsman hand tools are made by Stanley or Champion. Same with the Husky brand at The Home Depot.

Power tools are somewhat the same thing, but you really need to look at the quality of the tool.  My Table saw is Delta with the Craftsman name on it.  I bought at Sears simply because I got a good deal (it was $50. off, it was on sale for an extra 10% off for the family and friends sale night, and I had another 10% off that from the Craftsman Club Calender coupon) .
