  1. NOOO trust me by the time you will have forgotten it. live your life, start like the year your taking it, not years before, youll forget everything you learned now by then

  2. You guys started studying for the SAT in middle school? Thats absolutely crazy. Your whole life shouldn't be devoted to this one test. I already have kinda sorta a plan, which includes only taking the PSAT in sophmore year. But I'm only going to be a freshman now, maybe i'll start studying in the middle of freshamn year.

You should start now, i guess. Well, when the school year starts. Then you will be more in the mood.

And I took the SAT in 8th grade for Johns Hopkins, and it wasn't that hard, and I didn't study at all. And I did pretty well.

So feel like your behind because those others answerers were talking about studying in middle school. They are just crazy and are a little ahead of themselves. I mean it never hurts to be prepared, but don't have to go overboard.

  3. Hey.

Yeah, my mom told me the same thing, when I was a freshman. I should've listened.

It couldn't hurt, you starting now. I think it will benefit you in the long run, especially if you already have an idea of what college you want to go to.

I think you should study, maybe try the College Board free SAT prep course, but don't overdue it.Take the PSAT (even though you're not a junior), or a free practice test (companies like Kaplan and the Princeton Review have them) b/c it's good practice. When you have some extra time, thats when you should study for it.

  4. buddy im a senior, and just finished my SAT got a 1850 which isnt as good as i expected but is pretty good to get me into most schools out of the top 75 and i did very little in the way studying. go over the problems understand which types of problems you arent good at, in math this is really easy. some elements of algebra you might be shady on, study those until you know them, and your good.

  5. You know that old saying "It's never too late"? Well in this case, it's wrong. I am a freshman and I have been studying for the SAT's since 8th grade. It isn't a bad thing to get a jump start on your SAT preperation. It could help you in the long run, based on what you want to do with your life, I would say start looking at a few books, maybe take a practice test every 6 weeks. Do whatever you think will help you. Good Luck.

  6. no, r****d.  they changed it so that students after this year can take the SAT as many times as you want and they only see the best score.  just start taking it now.

  7. yeah, you should start studying for the SAT. Buy one of those study books

  8. Are you crazy? I'm only in the 7th grade and I'm studying out of the 2008 SAT prep book.

  9. well..if u dont have anything to do.. then you might as well study to improve your writing skills and grammar, learn bigger words, and review those geometry and algebra skills so that your later math courses won't be as hard.

Must ideal time to take the test would be at the end of junior year, and if you bomb it then u can take it one more time during the first couple of months of your senior year. You can also use the summer to reivew on what you need to work on or take a SAT class.
