Should i start to neglect?

my dog my dog is 6 years old now and i love him alot i know when he dies im going to be sad and depressed probaly the rest of my life. I think it can really reuin my future.When i had my other dog i had him for three days and i had to give him away and i was sad for more than 1/2 a year. My dog is like my child. So do you think i should stop playing with him and stuff just leave him alone so it will be less harder when he dies?

No, bad idea, because you would then feel incredible guilt over the fact that you couldve made his quality of life so much better by showing him love and attention and fun times. Trust me.

I agree with the first girl. You'll feel bad for not making his last moments for enjoyable. Just show him that you love him and take really good care of him. My grandma's dog lasted 14 years before they had to put him down.

Your parents love you, and when you die, it's going to rip their hearts in two. Perhaps if they just start ignoring you now, that willmake it easier for them.

what will you think when you die? about you making this dogs life worse, just get another dog so u can move on a lot faster if ur dog now, dies

hi, neglecting your dog now will not only make your dog said but you as well i had a dog who was very sick from a pup and i knew she was going to die so i stopped going near her and made my partner do everything with her feed her walk her play with her i acted as if she was never there and when the day came that she was so ill she couldnt walk she was having fits it made me feel worse as i dont think she knew i loved her and even know im crying cos shes gone make your dog feel loved it will be hard when they die but at least you will have lots of good memeorys and it will die happy......there is no harm in missing an animal i miss my dog all the time we know have 2 other work dogs but they will neer replace the one i lost
