  1. Love the song but it needs a little time off and not full retirement

  2. Permission to spout off?

    Good, thanks.

"Freebird" though burned, toasted and fried, consistently shows up as one of the top classic rock songs of all time - in airplay and requests. Make your decision on that, not on what a bunch of teeny boppers on Yahoo have to say.

This song rated #191 on "Rolling Stone's" Top-500 of all time. That's not a lot of songs - and those that made theTop-500 are arguably the very best rock has to offer from 1955 or so to present day. So think twice.

Do some research using your favorite search engine. YA, though I love it, is not the place to make serious playlist decisions.

One other thought. In research, we must always remember that those who are opposed to something will usually make their wishes known (human nature). Whereas the reverse does not necessarily hold true.

  4. free bird is a true classic.  it never goes out of style.

if you run it all the time maybe set it aside for a while/

when you bring it back, it will be like finding an old friend.

peace out world of rock dude

  5. it needs a rest so it can regain its place in rock history  as a great song. played over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over can ruin any song for a while and radio is guilty of doing that to virtually every song to hit the charts.

  6. No it's a Great Song!!

  7. Once in awhile play it.  Once in awhile.  It is so stale and overplayed that it is nearly unlistenable.  Along with its sister, Sweet Home Alabama.
