i've read it's bad to store your vinyls vertically because it will warp them overtime but, i've read elsewhere it's better to store them horizontally and i have no idea which source is correct. does anyone know which way i should store my vinyls? thanks in advance.

  1. You should store your vinyls vertically, not horizontally, storing your vinyl horizontally will eventually mishape them because of the weight of the records.

  2. You should store them vertically and make sure any shrink wrap has been totally removed because over time it may continue to shrink causing pressure which may warp the pathetically thin vinyl they press today.

  3. As long as they're not leaning or too loose, they won't warp if you store them vertically.  I was always told that storing records horizontally was bad for the ones at the bottom because of the weight pressing down on them, but I don't know if that's true or not.  It is harder on the jackets when pulling them out and replacing them, though.
