  1. only if u really want to dont get into peer pressure

  2. Switching because everyone else does it is a pretty silly reason.  If you want to take up snowboarding do it because you're curious about it and want to do it yourself.

I skiied for two days and snowboarded for two when I was in highschool and found snowboarding immensely more appealing.  It took a few days to pick up but once I got going with it it is more fun than I could have imagined.

If you do give boarding a try make sure to take a lesson!  It shares virtually nothing in common with skiing (except gliding on snow) and it's best to be taught by a trained instructor to keep you and everyone else on the slopes safe.

    Have fun!

  3. TAKE IT FROM A PERSON THAT HAS DONE BOTH SNOWBOARDING IS A h**l OF LOT MORE FUN

  4. well you should try out snowboarding to see how it goes, i used to snowboard a lot cause i lived in Denver, co. its really fun, if you enjoy it keep going for it, or maybe just do both if you want. good luck!! :)

  5. Depending if you have balence if you don't stick to skiing because i totally do not have balence and i fell the whole time skiing though was much easier and fun for me.

  6. It is way more fun than skiing! I skied for about 6 years before swithing to boarding. Within 1 year I was better at boarding. Plus it is way easier to do rails and jumps and you can pissoff old people. Get a board, welcome to the club.

  7. Don't start boarding b/c everyone else is doing it, do it b/c you want to....I was on my ski team in NH from the 3rd-7th grade, once i started snowboarding about 15 years ago, i've never put a set of skis on my feet again...

I love riding, and i picked it up in like 2 runs, but that's b/c i did a lot of skateboarding too, be aware that your butt will prob be sore the first couple of days b/c if it doesn't come naturally to you, you'll be falling often.  But don't let that discourage you, it's the best!

  8. Im a die hard ski racer and twin tiper and i gotta tell you nothing is more anoying than a mountain that has hundres of snowborders and most the time there just lerning which is fine but when they dont try and just do it to look cool it ticks me off and u can tell whos the poser and the tryers. do what u want but make sure u do it.

  9. Dude, I think that you should do it. But follow your heart. Don't just do it cause everyone else is doing it babe. I perfer snowboarding a lot more! Snowboarding is my life, well not all of it. But I do love it! I think that you should give it a try. Who will it hurt? Good luck babe!  XD    How old are you? Email whenever. XD

  10. Snowboarding is amazing!  If you are getting board with skiing and want a challege, you should definetly trying snowboarding where its thrilling and challenging.  Yes, it is more difficult to learn and will take a lot of patience, but when you get it, you'll love it.  I used to ski for like 5 years and decided that it wasnt enough and switched over to snowboarding.  Love it and would never try skiing again.

Just dont do it because others are, do it cus you want to.  And trust me you'll have a blast once you get the hang of it.

Remeber always to just have fun and good luck!

  11. I grew up skiing.  I loved it.  When I was in high school, I tried snowboarding and haven't skiied once since then.  Snowboarding is a lot more fun.

  12. i have NEVER skied and i never will. Snowboarding in the most fun sport i have ever done in my life. I would def. say yes to trying but keep in mind that its totally different from skiing but well worth falling because eventually you will get the hang of it.

  13. no you will not be good at it if you have been skiing all your life it will be hard to swich
