  1. take chem. there are so many more chem classes in college for pre-med than bio. it's odd, but true. u need like 3 yrs chem and only one year bio for pre-med, so i would take chem to get a head start on it

  2. You could take either, but you might, oddly enough, want to take chem. That's because although the pre-med bio is very difficult in college, the pre-med chem classes are absolutely killer. If you could take AP chem in high school, you'd have a head start on that chem, and be more likely to do very well in it when you have to take it in college. So I'm leaning toward you taking chem.

But if you yourself like one subject more than another, it would be completely reasonable for you to choose that subject for your AP.

  3. well your going to need both bio and chem to apply to med school...actually your going to need inorganic and organic chemistry

id advise you to go ahead and get biology out of the way.

  4. Chances are you'll have to take both bio and chem at some point in your academic career if you plan on going into the medical field so it really doesn't matter which you take. If you have a lot of other AP classes I would just take it easy and pick the one you think will be easier for you.

  5. You need both to work in the medical field. It is assumed knowledge that you will be fully competent in both Chem. and Biology. However, if you MUST only pick one for whatever reason, go with Biology.

  6. If you want to be a surgeon, i think the choice is quite obvious.

  7. then take ap bio....or go to ur guidance counselor

  8. I also plan on being a doctor and I've choosen AP bio over chemistry. Ofcourse when you go to college you will be learning biology and chemistry, but I think there will be more biology classes or about a even amount. Even though my sophomore year when I took chemistry I didn't make B's or A's all through the year but I'm still looking forward to taking it in college.
