I had an A in 8th grade science but i dont really like science AT ALL. i just want to pass with an A. do you think i should drop the class? will it be too much work? help!

Oh! and im a major procrastinator and im taking alot of other honors classes so would i be in over my head?

  1. NONONONONO today i disected a cat =(

unless your into that i wouldnt recomend it

but colleges do like honers classes so if your not taking any other honers classes then deff do it

  2. honestly, it's better to get an A in regular than a B in honors. because colleges look at GPA before they look at what classes you took, and as long as you have some hard classes that you did well in, then you're fine. If you're going to major in biology or medical science (which i doubt since you hate science) then you should take honors and/or AP biology. but if you're only doing it because your mother wants you to, then you're going to to poorly because you don't really want to take it. but don't drop it when it's past the deadline, cause then you'll get an F, but if you drop it before the deadline, it won't show up on your transcript.

but don't worry, bio honors is really fun, it's AP bio that's hardd..

    goodluck~

  3. try it out for the first week or two, if you don't like it drop the class

taking tougher classes will help you later on, honors bio can prepare you for AP Bio....

but then you're better off taking an honors class in a subject you actually like

  4. honors is easy. i was lazy and a procrastinator. ap biology is what you should worry about.

  5. yes, if you really dont think you can handle it, take the regular course. im in 10th grade and i had the same dilemma, i ended up taking honors bio and now i regret it and wish i hadnt, because my grade in science was ruined.

  6. You sound like a good candidate. Although you may not have the desire to learn it, you have to smarts. If you are know you can buckle down and do the work you will be fine. Remember rigor of your secondary records is a factor in college admissions and a B in Honors Bio will look just as good if not better than an A in regular Bio.

Don't second guess yourself and good luck with school.

  7. Honors and regular classes in my experience doesn't have much difference.

For my biology class, the difference was that honors had news articles that we had to remember stuff from, only a couple of more articles though, and the non honors class (same teacher) didn't.

I also switched from honors english to reg english, same teacher, i joined a career pathway, and the only difference was a little bit more work from honors.

but i think regular classes are more FUN the people there aren't obsessed with work and it's just a happier atmosphere

  8. better to get a b in an honors class than an a in regular class.

think about college and make your decision :)
