Should i take a class ??

Should i still take a class, if i dislike my teacher.

I have to make a decision yet (i have doing the whole summer) if i shall take IB German 3 or not. First of all, I hate that i am taking a IB course, while i am not in IB. My school only offers IB German 3. I dislike my German teacher, because she is soo boring and if i have to rate her teaching out of a 10, i give her a 5. I like this class and i always A's her test. I already finished Pre-IB german 2 with her last year. I really want to take German 3 and then AP german, but not with her.. Any advice.. Thank you

if you want to take ap and stuff deal with her. the same thing is happening with me in spanish i've skipped 2 levels last year so i was with older kids and we all hated are teacher, she was such a "female dog". no one liked her.have to take ap this year and i am stuck with her again! hopefully i can survive this year. I am just going to deal with her because it would look great on college applications that i skipped and i don't want to look like a quitter just because i didn't like her. i am so glad i skipped though because some people had been stuck with her for 3 yrs in a row because she is the only one who teaches higher classes so i am only stuck with her for 2 thank the lord=]

I have to disagree with the other poster. If you dislike the teacher it could really distract from your enjoyment of the class, and may hinder your learning.

When I went to culinary school I one particular teacher who taught all the baking and pastry classes. She was a bit jaded, difficult to get along with, and definately had her favorites. She made what should be a fun, exciting and benefical program, into a stressful chore.

If you are good at the class, take it because it is what you need to do. If you have to teach yourself and tolerate it, so be it. Colleges like for you to have multiple years of language so it will be for the best. Sorry --- wish the teacher were as excitingly interesting as I am :-)
