  1. I think that we all need to be open to learning multiple languages, so go for French at school and German on ur own.

  2. French because it's most used international language in post-colonial Africa, UN, Quebec, etc.

  3. Well, I am German, but I would say you get more use out of French.

  4. Deutsch und Französisch!

They're both amazing languages. Take French in school and German on the side.

  5. I'd suggest French just because of the fact that it's more of an international language.

But if you REALLY want to take German, I'm sure there can be some alternative way for you to take German on your own (such as an online course or a college course) in place of French for your high school credit.  I don't think schools really care too much about what languages you take for your foreign language credits required as long as it's foreign to be honest.

  6. If French is the only option at school take French and check into Rosetta Stone for German.

  7. French.

  8. Starting with one is easier.  You can do both at the same time if you're motivated, but don't try to do them 'parallel' (for example, learn the German articles when you cover French articles in class) because the structure of the languages is so different it will be really confusing.
