Should i take kenpo if i only have 3 months to learn it?

If you have a short time to learn an art American Kenpo is probably your best bet. It is what they teach many special forces. If you expect to be a great fighter in 3 months though, sorry, but you will learn some good basic self defense.

do you mean kempo because thats what i took.

and no you shouldnt it will just waste your time.

no matter what age you start from the bottom so you wouldnt really learn anything effective

You mean Kempo karate??? Why do you need to learn something that takes MOST people 10 years or more to master in just 3 months? Maybe you would also like to learn Open Heart Surgery by a mail order course?? ha ha ha....You better be R-E-A-L-I-S-T-I-C here.....Learning ANYYYYY of the martial arts requires a LIFETIME COMMITTMENT to staying healthy, working out 2-3 times a week, weight training, self-discipline and maturity. Who do you think you are fooling? Are you planning to get into a fight in the next three months? My advice to you is don't EVEN START training in ANY of the martial arts now, because you probably DO NOT have the COMMITTMENT it takes. When you are committed to practicing and training for at least 3-5 YEARS then start. The dojo's and dojangs are FILLED with guys like you who thought they could become Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris or Steven Seagall overnight. I am not saying you won't learn something in three months....but it will probably be just enough to build your confidence to the point that someone is going to kick your butt in a streetfight. Until you are ready to committ yourself to the training regiment it will take I suggest you learn how to run faster or AVOID trouble in the first place.

If you have little time try Muay Thai, or just straight boxing.
