should i take my driving test in automatic or manual?

can anyone help me decide, i am aware if i pess in auto i will have to stick to autos or resit my test! i recently failed my manual test on too much use of the clutch! since then we have bought an automatic and i feel i would have a good chance in passing, but i might not always have an automatic, i dont know what i should do,

  1. well you know your answer auto

  2. For the sake of facilitation in driving, do take manual driving. It'll require a lot of work, and once you've gone through it, voila! You can choose whichever car you want to drive without problem!

  3. Auto

  4. I took my test with a manual transmission and passed it but then that was the only car available to me at the time. However I believe it would have been much simpler with a car that had an automatic transmission because I wouldn't have to think about when to shift all the time and just think more about my driving. When you have to pass the maneuvering part of the test it's done at a low speed and not giving the car enough gas when letting out the clutch could cause the cat to stall and I'm sure they would fail you if you stall the car. Here is one helpful tip I can give you about your driving test. When making a left turn on to a two lane road always pull into the inside lane first and then look in the side mirror before moving to the outside lane. When making a right turn pull into the lane close to the curb and then look in your right mirror and pull into the center lane unless it's one of those center lines that are a turning lane for both sides of the road.  Most people when making the turn will go to whatever lane they feel like which is wrong and you will fail your driving test.  I wish you best of luck! :o)

  5. you have to take a test on both? but since you failed the first time on too much clutch use..which is beyond my comprehension..lol...i think most people learning to use a clutch use it too much..but over time and practice that should go away..i say automatic...unless you are really confident you will not use your clutch too much..that cracks me up...you arent in america are you...

  6. Keep going with the manual, you have said it yourself you may not always have an auto and yes it will take getting used to after driving an auto for so long and yes a clutch and gear stick is another thing to think about but you then have a licence for a manual if you need to drive one in the future!

Everyone fails on different things, just keep practising and pass your manual test. I assume you have paid out good money for insurance and / or driving lessons for a manual so don't let it go to waste and keep practising!

Good luck in your next test!:D
