  1. Definitely talk to your doc. How far along are you? If you're in your first trimester, get a folic acid supplement about 800 mcg and that should be okay until you go to the doc. Folic acid with a healthy diet is the most important during the first trimester.

I know some women take Flintstones while pregnant, but I'm not sure the amount.

  2. TAKE FLINSTONE VITAMINS WITH COLINE THATS WHAT MY OBGYN TOLD ME TOO DO, THEY ARE BASICALLY THE SAME THINGA PRENATAL PILLS, OR GO TO A LOCAL STORE AND TRY OUT DIFF, KINDS OF PRENATAL PILLS (WALMART HAS A BIG SELECTION). GOOD LUCK.

  3. Try taking just a folic acid pill alone. Those are often less upsetting to the stomach. If you are eating a well balanced diet this is the most important extra vitamin. If you have a Trader Joe's nearby they have a disolvable pill with Folic Acid and Vitamin B6 that is great and never upsets my stomach. Then when you see your doctor talk about what might be most important for your baby to have a little extra of given your situation. If you are throwing up and can't keep food down because of the pills your doctor will give you other options. These were just some of the ones I have read lately. I am really sensitive to vitamins anyway but so far at 8 weeks have been doing o.k. keeping it down. I take mine right before bed also with some milk.. this helps me too.

    Good luck.

  4. I wouldn't take them. If you have an appt on Weds it will be fine not to take them until then. Your Dr can and should give you a different pill.  Usually it's the iron in the prenatal pills that causes nausea and constipation. There are prenatal vitamins with easily digestible iron. I took one with both my 9 and 10 pound boys!

  5. ask your doctor to change it

  6. If I was you I would try to take it. If not I would call first thing Monday moring and let your doctor know he will send you out some new ones. They have so many prenatal pills out now.

  7. That happened to me and my doctor presribed me new ones and toward the end of the second trimester he took me off of them all together.  So call your doctor and try and get new ones or just eat foods that have all the vitamins you need which is very time consuming but you gotta do what you gotta do.

  8. I couldn't keep my prenatal pills down the entire first trimester and my doc told me not to worry, the baby will be fine and get enough nutrients and that when you're that early in your pregnancy, the baby is so tiny they don't really need that much. So don't worry, she was right. I had a healthy 8 lb daughter!
