I have taken 4 SAT Subjects Tests so far and next year, I will be a senior.

Chemistry - 790

Physics - 770

Math II - 770

Biology M - 710

I know that colleges take the top 2 or 3 scores but should i take english literature (I will be taking AP Literature next year), spanish with listening (I am bilingual and am a native speaker), and/or world history (I took AP World History last year, as a junior) so that i could seem more well-rounded.

If I should, which ones should I take. And what are the best review books for each one.

  1. You should always take the core subjects when taking your SAT's. Subjects like science, history, english, and a foreign language. As SAT subjects go, take at least one subject test under each category given, especially if you're bilingual. Colleges like it when you know your stuff in those categories because they are most often required credits once you get to college.

  3. Congrats, those scores are great. If you are up for it, however, then showing well-roundedness with a humanities SAT Subject Test would be a really worthwhile idea. If you've got it, flaunt it--truly competitive colleges like MIT will want to see that from you.

Which additional tests should you take? Try each of them in the College Board book (http://www.amazon.com/Official-Study-Gui... Each one will only take an hour, and will yield an official score. Then decide which 1, 2, or 3 you could really do well on this fall and study for them with a Kaplan or Princeton Review prep book. You might find it's better to ace 1-2 rather than spread yourself too thin and do only so-so on 2-3.

BTW, concerned the additional tests might not turn out as well? You can submit your existing scores that you listed above, take the additional tests in the fall, and only submit the new scores if they turn out well.

    Good luck!

  4. Take the ones that you need, and know that you'll need.

They're expensive to take as a "just in case" measure...
