Should i tell my mom about my love life ?

Question

i never really talked to her about any boys. but i'm going through a really bad heartbreak and problem right now. it's kinda hard to deal with it and not show it. she knows there's something wrong with me, but she thinks its something else. i don't have a lot of people to talk to right now, but my mom is still here. do you think she'd be understanding and help me? or will it just be awkward..? -_-

I don't think that it is necessarily a bad idea to talk to your mother about your problems. In fact, it may be the difference between feeling better and remaining miserable.

I'm sure that if you brought the topic up, she'd be more than happy to listen - and she'd be more understanding than most anyone else. After all, she IS your mother.

If you feel that you need to edit some details to avoid giving her too much information or to avoid it getting awkward, then do so. In any case, it'll feel nice to get it off your chest - especially to someone who you don't need to impress and who isn't going to judge you.

talk to her. you'll feel wayy better after you did. my mom told me never to feel awkward around her because she went through all of the same things as me.

Talk to your mom about your heartbreak.  She may actually have some good advice for you.  It will probably be a bit uncomfortable, especially when you first start talking about it.

Try to pick a quiet time, when your mom has a few minutes, or ask her to set aside some private time, that you need to talk to her about some personal problems you're having.

I will bet she wishes you would talk to her, but she doesn't know how to get you to open up.  Go for it!   She's your mom and she loves you.

Since you've never talked to her about it.. it will be a lil awkward but your mom sounds like my  mom. You should just tell you or she will start bugging at you about it. She can help you and help you to understand... maybe she'll have been through something similiar to you and maybe she'll share it and you'll have a closer relationship with your mom.

Well if i were you i would tell my mom right away i would ask to talk to her privately and tell her. I mean shes your mom you cant keep EVERYTHING from her especially something like that... good luck tho!!

Yes, you should tell your mother. Of course you are not obligated, but, mothers will always look out for your best interest, even when you do not like what they are saying.
