  1. Normally, no you do not need to tip your coach.  If you feel like they have really been an amazing coach and you feel like you really learn a lot from then, then you can buy them a gift for the holidays.  That's how most clients in my area "tip".

If you are only riding with your coach for a short period then it would be acceptable to tip at the end of your training.  If you tip at the end of each lesson your coach may start to expect it.  On the other hand if you tip on some lessons and not others your coach may feel insulted or wonder why they didn't get a tip.  It can cause awkward moments.

As mentioned, if you are already paying then a tip is not necessary.  If you don't pay for your lessons then I would strongly suggest a gift around the holidays or simply money for all the hard work and effort they put out for you.

  2. Uh.....if you mean "should I tip my riding coach" then its not necessary and is usually not done but if they are super super good then maybe a little.

  3. I think you mean coach, and it really depends on you.  Most people don't because you are already paying them to coach you, but if you feel like that lesson was really worthwhile, and he or she deserved more money then that, then sure go for it.

  4. No, that is not the norm, you are already paying them a fee which they have specified. I would possibly tip a trainer if they accompanied me to a show that I won and I felt they had played a big part.
