Question:

Should i trade Edison Volquez?

i figure that he wont put up the #'s he had from the first half...i believe that i could get a much better and consistent pitcher like roy halliday...(i already have johan, webb and harden)...opinions?

  1. Well, it depends. If you can get someone like Cliff Lee, Carlos Zambrano, or even CC Sabathia then maybe. You might look at Sabathia's numbers and question me on why I say to trade for him, but he is getting hot. He won today, his 1st game pitching for the Brew Crew and should be able to lead them into the playoffs (most likely Wild Card if they make it) I don't think the Reds will be in the Playoffs. A good strategy to have for the 2nd Half of the season, is to trade guys (even if they are good like Volquez) to get guys who are on teams where they need to win to get their team into the Playoffs. The pressure is more on them, so typiczally they perform better, depending on the team & player. Hope this helps!


  2. If you really want to trade him you can get tremendous talent for him, you can great some great hitting, but if you want pitchers look for CLiff lee or joe saunders.

  3. Yes, he is going to fade. sell him what he is one of the best in baseball.
