i just turned 16 in july and i guess you could say i am mature for my age and i look about 17 or 18. i want to know i i should travel from new york to shannon ireland over my february school break. when i get there my aunt would pick me up at the airport and i would spend the week with my immediate family. so being in the coultry is not my problem but i am scared i wont be able to get around the airports ok. what do you think?? and i have also never done this before.. thank you!!

  1. Sher you'll be fine!

It could be worse, you could be flying into Dublin airport. Sher that place is a complete mess altogether.

We know a fella who was stuck in Dublin airport for 3 weeks. He couldn't find the exit..........

  2. yea..... i went to hong kong at 15 this summer and didn't speak a word of chinese WITHOUT MY FMAILY.

  3. to be honest, I think you should be fine.

If you have relatives in the country it should be a fantastic experience.

If becoming lost in the airport is all your worried about, just ask questions. trust me, if their sober the irish are nice enough :P they'll help you out if ya get lost

  4. If you have already been to Ireland 11 times you will feel okay in the airport. My friend's big brother went to Ireland when he was 16, he was french and didn't speak english very well. If he can do it so can you.

  5. Everything is signposted in the airports, dear. And anyway, as you're technically underage, it's likely that the airline will appoint a minder for you. If in doubt, ask someone in a uniform for directions.
