  1. You're the perfect height to be a libero.  I doubt you'd be a setter, since usually they have tall girls that can reach above the net.  Nothing can harm you for trying out.

  2. I think you should... It's something you love to do, so why not do it... If you have no regrets then go ahead, after all life is meant to lived happily :D

  3. Go for it or you'll spend the rest of your life saying 'what if?'.

  4. I agree with the above answers.  GO FOR IT!!!!!

You do not want to be sitting around 20 years from now wishing that you had tried out.  It would be better for you to try out and not make it, than not try out.

  5. Go for it!

  6. If it is something you love, you should do it. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise, because sometimes the desire to play, that "want" is enough. You don't have to be the tallest or the fastest, but if you are the hardest working, that can be more than enough. Give it your all if its what you want, just know that collegiate athletics are extremely demanding and can create a lot of turmoil with academics and social life, speaking from experience. Good luck with whatever you do though!

  7. Go for it, what do you have to lose? You will regret not doing it, and even if you don't make the team, you will still say to yourself you gave it all you got. And if you are truly passionate about the sport and you don't make the team work hard in the off season and make it next year. In college it is hard to organize your time with sports and academic work, but in the long run it really is worth it... I say give it a shot :)

  8. i think it would be best to try for libero depending on what division you want to play in. Most division 1 setters are very tall. If you love setting more then you could try but if not, and you still want to be a setter, you can be in a division 2 or lower school. Start getting out some recruitment videos to different college volleyball coaches. This is a great age to start sending them to hopefully future coaches. Here is a website of a business that makes recruitment videos:

  9. yes try out for college volleyball.  The training is harder but it does not matter much if your 5'2" because in the women's league size does not matter much, skill does.  I'm 5'3" and i'm a male setter of a college team.  It is an advantage if your small but left handed in serving.

  10. If its your thing, GO FOR IT!!!

  11. if u got the body for it then ...go

if not dont bother to create sad memory to ur life.

however, trying and having to participate is key.

so do it and taske some picture to remebered by!!

  12. definately, if you were on varsity and you really love it then yes
