  1. you want to keep the baby on her back when she isn't supervised.  it's okay during tummy time for you to leave her be but sleeping on the tummy has links to SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome).  i am not saying to freak out about it, rolling over is an important milestone in your child's developement. but it is preferable for them to sleep on their backs.

  2. She'll be okay! Once she can roll over and chooses that, she is alright!

  3. its okay, by now she should have complete controll of her head and be able to turn it if she cant breath. the risk for SIDS goes down after 6 months :)

  4. it would be impossible to continue turning them over unless u are planning to stay up all night, so just let her be.

  5. So fun to have your little on learn to roll over - congrats!

Yes, it is totally fine to have your baby sleep on her tummy.  She is strong and can lift her head up just fine, so there is no problem with her on her belly.  If you ask your mother's generation or grandmother's generation - they never had a problem with tummy sleeping - even with a newborn.

As a side note, some newborns will actually sleep more soundly, stay covered up better and can release a burp my themselves if laid on their tummies.

Enjoy every stage! They grow up fast :-)

  6. it's okay to leave her, just make sure there is nothing in the crib that she can get entangled in or smother with.  No plush blankets, mattress pads etc.

  7. My doctor always said when they can roll over, you can leave them like that. Once they learn to roll over, and rather sleeping on their tummy, it would be impossible to continue turning them over. She'll be fine.

  8. As soon as the child can roll over on her own, you are fine to leave her as she is.

  9. Let her be. Once she has this control, you'd have to stay up all night to keep turning her back.  Up until a very short time ago, we were all told to keep out kids on their tummies at all times!!

    She'll be fine!
