Should i update my psp or not?

my psp is 3.90,should i update it to the latest version?

so u have official firmware? sure just upgrade it. if ur planning on getting custom firmware, upgrading it wont do any harm, ever since the discovery of the pandoras battery, people can upgrade without worrying if its gonna ruin the chances of them getting cfw. besides there might be some cool new feature that comes with the upgrade. but be safe while upgrading, dont mess with it, dont take out the memory stick, and dont leave your battery undercharged(so plug in the charger while upgrading). but yeah u should go for it :) .

It all depends on how often you use your psp, if you are constantly using it the new version may be better than the old when it comes to games and speed. I would go and find out the pros and cons of upgrading, along with considering you average usage, and then decide based upon those facts.

As long as you're not modding it and/or using home brew software, keeping it up to date is a good idea.

Nah! I have a PSP and it sucks! I thought it would be cool and keep me occupied. But its lame! dont buy it. =]]

Sure, why not.  The updates DO NOT s***w anything up on the PSP, and don't take away software features that you have in 3.90.  It usually just makes really small differences, so you are safe to go ahead and try it.  It is for your own benefit!!
