Should i use fins on my wakeskate?

I have never used fins on my wakeboard and i just got a wakeskate and am waiting to try it out should i use fins on my wakeskate or just take them off

  1. finless is the way to roll if you have a molded bottom. usually the wood skates track better with at least small fins.


  2. You just got to try it with it on and off, and then see which way you like the most. Bring a screwdriver with you on the boat, so you can try both without going back to your dock to change the setup.

  3. If you like the loose feel of a wakeboard without fins and have honed your edging while finless, then I say give it a go.  If you are going to be hitting rails, then no fins or at least the smallest A-wing or P-wing fins will serve your purpose for a little bite if you need it.  Doesn't hurt to give it a go and see how it feels.
