Question:

Should i use my birth certificate as a form of ID?

There's this birthday discount at a store at the mall. I'm 13 turning 14 and i don't have any form of ID other than a birth certificate.

Note that i DO NOT have a student ID card since i missed it this year. Also, i don't have ANY photo ID whatsoever.

If i showed the people the birth certificate, will they still give me the discount? Or do i absolutely need photo ID?

The problem is that i don't look 14 and i look more 18-ish and i'm scared that they won't believe my age since i don't have proof that the birth certificate belongs to me.

Help please?

  1. Try it. Still, search for old IDs from school or any documentation that will show your age. I once brought this really old Id and it worked.

  2. Can't hurt to try it.  Just be careful not to lose it.
