  1. some Women find it great and others do not

it does not mean that you will not get a period.

some women while they do not get one they spot all of the time.

and most women are finding that when they want to come off it their periods do not start.

they have to go on to the pill to start their period.

most find that when they want to have a child that they have to keep on trying for up to 5 years.

I know of at least 20 girls who can not get pregnant now that they are off of it

but if you are the type that can not remember to take the daily pill it  might be the right choice for you.

if you want to read the research yourself go to

    www.webmd.com

and in the search (on the weg page) type in

depo shots you can look at all of the info yourself and make up your mind

if you are still not sure take to a public health nurse

they will take the time to answer all of your ??'s

  2. You should consult the benefits and the side effects of contraceptive injections before using any. You should also know that if you want a child you have to use another method except a hormonal one with 6(six) moths before pregnancy, and injections increase the risk of infertility.

  3. dont do it. i did it for 9 months and gained 35 pounds! It took me 6+ months to lose the weight!!!!

  4. NO

it is used in high doeses to sterilize developmentally delayed women, there is no long term study on the damage it does to the ovaries, it's a huge factor in high toxicity levels which causes severe acne in some women.

on top of that...it's INCREDIBLY unnatural to stop your period for month at a time.

I was on it for a year and it was an absolute disaster.

At the very least please do research on BOTH sides of the issue before you make up your mind.

  5. NO!

Do NOT get depo provera.  Majority of women suffer horribly on this shot, as well as the black box warnings that doctors SHOULD tell you (but don't always show people, like me!) about this drug.

I would never ever recommend this for anyone.
