i want to use a tetra 3i filter for my small 1.5 gallon fish tank while my guppy gives birth and keep the fry there. will my fry get sucked up through it even though the water goes up with bubbles not by suction?

  1. I don't trust anything but an air-driven sponge filter when I am raising fry.

I also suggest you use at least a 5-10 gallon tank to prevent from stunting your growing babies.

  2. It sucks in the water and filters it and spits it out, there are bubbles from the air pump, and yes your fry could get sucked into it. Try putting a nylon stocking over the intake.
