  1. Here are the pricing plans per month:

If you buy an XM receiver now, you can get:

    All of XM - $12.95

All of XM + 11 "Best of Sirius" channels (the "Best of Sirius" channels are pre-chosen; you don't get to choose which ones you want) - $16.99

    XM's talk/sports only - $9.99

    XM's music only - $9.99

There are also discounts for family friendly plans if you opt out of explicit language channels.

Likewise, if you buy a Sirius receiver now, you can get:

    All of Sirius - $12.95

All of Sirius + 11 "Best of XM" channels (the "Best of XM" channels are pre-chosen; you don't get to choose which ones you want) - $16.99

    Sirius's talk/sports only - $9.99

    Sirius's music only - $9.99

There are also discounts for family friendly plans if you opt out of explicit language channels.

If you buy a new receiver post-merger (which may not be available until 6 months or so after the merger is finalzied):

    A la carte I - choose 50 channels for $6.99

A la carte II - choose 100 channels for $14.99

  2. It will all be the same. Go for it when you are ready. You'll be able to select from both services at one price.
